This was the mall I grew up in. I didn't live too far away from the place as a child (about a five minute drive or so), and I've seen it transform from a neighbourhood sort of place (it once had a K-Mart. Yep, K-Mart) to something much more high end (started when I went away to university in the late 90s). I've since moved downtown and recently made a trip up for brunch after not having been there in months. Maybe it was Boxing Day weekend, or maybe things are just "different" now, but I found that the mall is unable to handle crowds. Service at many stores was lackluster (why should one have to wait several minutes at Brooks Brothers, even with crowds? The Yorkville location was also quite busy, yet service was much, much better) and a barista at Aroma Espresso Bar didn't know how much coffee each size held. She had to ask. Maybe she was new, but it's something one should KNOW. I've never seen anyone ASK at other Aroma locations.
