These guys are robbers. I went in there because my car battery died when it was -22°, it was 8 years old and I knew I'd need a new one anyways.
They quoted me at over $400 for the Battery and also said my alternator needed replacing. I told him the reason the car didn't start was it was -22°, and he insisted it was the alternator because of some test that they charged me $65 for. I laughed at them and said Canadian tire sells the same batteries for $200.
I got in my car (it started because the alternator was charging the battery) and drove to a local garage on Queen Street that a friend recommended. He charged me $210 for the battery with installation and told me my alternator was fine.
I understand be a little more expensive for convenience but double the price and trying to tell me something needs replacing that's working perfectly well?
