  • Although lacking in outside appeal, American Cafe was SUPERB. I'm a foodie as well as a home cook. While visiting the Charlotte area, we stopped in for breakfast and dinner several times. The dishes brought to us were OUTSTANDING.....the chefs know what they're doing. My eggs benedict was out of this world--the best hollandaise ever...my husband's pastrami frittata was FABULOUS. The accompanying fruit was fresh-cut melons and pineapple. Dinner was great as well.....I had salmon and my husband had beef. I HIGHLY recommend the cafe.
