  • My response to your reply : Dr. Mitchem, I believed by coming in and talking to you would be futile. My conversations with you were already futile. I wanted FMX sent to a dentist. I was surprisingly offended by your 'office manager' if that's what you call it. I talked to you and told you her behavior was unethical and unbelievably rude, and you responded with 'she's busy and she is protective of you'. ?? ok, weird answer but ok. Maybe you have many patients that you need to fend off. Then I discover a couple of weeks later that no FMX was EVEN sent. Do I think it was deliberate? yes, I do. I called the office and one of the nice receptionists said 'do you want to talk to him one on one? Why? I told her that I DID talk to you and you did nothing. I asked the receptionist if it would really, really make a difference? She said I don't know, but it might help. I told her if I could see an effort on your part, Dr. Mitchem, I'd feel better. No effort was made on your part. Your receptionist, not you, was the one who suggested I come in. YOUR office made the mistake, again. YOU should have contacted me. You have my number. In what way was my coming in to see you in person going to make a difference? IF you had asked me to come in, I probably would. But there was never a misunderstanding. There aren't that many moving parts to what happened to even misunderstand. In no way did you 'strive' to make anything better. It would not change how Susan talked to me and argued with me as if I was the one who needed HER permission to have my FMX that I paid for, sent. I told you that. YOU said nothing. SUSAN was the one who carried on and on, demanding personal information, that is NONE of her business, about my request to email the FMX. That conversation should have lasted 20 seconds. And after all of that, my brother dentist never got the FMX. And you want me to come in to talk about it? I said to your receptionists that a simple APOLOGY was all that I needed because by that time I was very hurt and angry. Your silence was dismissive of me, as it was in my conversation with you. Why didn't you call me and say you were sorry or that should not have happened or anything along those lines? or even send me a quick note? I am so easy to placate it's pitiful, but I was beginning to think I'd fallen down a rabbit hole. I have been in a lot of offices, dental and otherwise, where there is always a queen bee. And in my experiences, they are usually the dumbest in the office. I cancelled my future appts with you and we would have been great patients and referrals. And none of this made you think, I'll give her a call, and apologize. After all, your office was wrong, in more ways than one. And the reason I have such a negative view is because I haven't experienced such a sense of entitlement from an office employee, talking down, demanding to know why, telling me it is not possible for the film to be understood, blah, blah. All she had to do was send it. And she didn't. And you wanted me to come in to talk. What kind of ridiculous power play is that? I did nothing to warrant such hostile treatment from Susan, the gatekeeper. I have not been so disappointed by an assumed 'professional' office before. I expect this from the corporate dental offices, but not you.
