  • I used to love this place. My husband and I would go quite often taking advantage of the 2 for 1 buffet coupons and the free "Senior" slot tourney(50+) the second Tuesday of every month. And stay and play awhile. Before Boyd gaming took over Aliante casino and ruined it, the buffet was nice, with really good food, lots of choices, fresh tasting. The salad bar had many things to add to a salad and actually offered fresh sliced tomatoes, not the little cherry tomatoes that should never be in a salad. It's always fun when someone is eating them and they squirt you in the eye as they bite down on it. I like cherry tomatoes, just not on a salad in public. There used to be lots of things to put in a salad, but not much last time we were there in late April. The pizza used to be nice and tasty. Now it's all over cheesed with way too much salt! The cheese is really thick and tastes odd. And some pieces are just ice cold sitting there. I found that out the hard way. The soup used to be wonderful! Especially the cream of mushroom soup. The last time we went, that choice was not available and the choices that were, they looked terrible, with crusty film around the edges. Scary. So no soup for me! Service is not good like it used to be. We are seated, then the server disappears for the rest of the meal after they finally bring a drink, so cannot get refills. Was not happy with our server. And I miss the employee's that were there for years, now suddenly gone. :( I hope they all found new jobs. The machines used to be nice once upon a time. A nice return. It seemed that every time I found a good one that paid, a few weeks later, it would disappear somewhere else in the Universe, never to be found again. I was so tired of losing, that I quit playing. You cannot lose if you don't play. The mail offers just suddenly stopped. It's almost like they do not care if people come back or not. And today I noticed that they no longer have the slot tourneys which we never won anyway, but always tried! ;) So with their super tightwad machines, lousy buffet, no more slot tourney, no more mail offers, no service, there really is no reason to go there anymore. Probably not even for a movie. I miss the way Aliante casino used to be. Please bring it back!!!
