| - I always come to this place expecting a wait, however after my recent experience I will never be coming back here again.
First of all, my friend and I were told that the wait would be an hour and a half to two hours, fine, we weren't expecting much less anyway. In reality we weren't seated for three hours, and it would have been longer if my friend and I weren't walking out the door. The issue was that instead of giving us our well deserved table, the host was allowing his "friends" to cut in front of us. This is, in my opinion, completely unacceptable.
My second biggest issue involves the bartender. To pass time my friend and I were going to have some drinks at the bar, but our experience was terrible. I am absolutely unashamed to call out the bartender right now.
Although I don't know his name, I can describe him. He has very strange hair that is shaved on one side and flipped on the other, and wears these steam-punk inspired glasses. Let me say, this guy is a complete jerk and should not be working in the hospitality industry PERIOD.
My friend and I were standing at the bar waiting for a drink for 45 minutes. He was blatantly ignoring us. Everytime I waved at him he would say "I will get to you in a minute" however, during this period at least 10 other people, if not more, were served who were not waiting before us and just got to the bar. In fact, some girl walked up to the left side of the bar after we were patiently waiting, (which by the way is not allowed) and was served. This happened not once, but twice, and no she was not a waitress. Finally when I was able to get my drink from him he asked for my I.D. which is totally fine except I was already being served alcoholic beverages. When I told this his was response was "you should take that as a compliment". I honestly believe the only reason he made me take out my I.D was to harass me and make my life more difficult since my friend and I were obviously getting upset with him.
Bottom line is, the wait sucked but if I had a pleasurable experience at the bar it wouldn't have mattered. Not to mention my friend and I were planning on drinking a lot so the bartender screwed his own pocket out of valuable tips, as well as the restaurant. Because of that, I will not be coming back to this place, which I am a pretty frequent customer of. This gentleman may be a good bartender, but it is blatantly obvious that he shows favoritism to certain customers and I hope that the restaurant sees this review and takes it into consideration whether to keep him or not. My review doesn't do it justice how rude he was.
On a side note, the other male bartender was very charming.
