Tricare beneficiaries beware! I went in with a sore throat, cough, runny nose & all they verified was that I did not have strep throat. Thanks. It's this second part of this story that I am reviewing with 1 star. The PA told me I could get some OTC Flonase, I asked if I could have a script instead to bring to the Pharmacy on base since I am covered by Tricare. She said she can't write a physical script but would send one directly to them electronically. I asked if she could add a Neti-Pot (NeilMed Sinus Rinse), knowing that the base has it on their formulary. She said she would. When I went to the base to check in for my prescriptions, he had not received anything. I called costumer service for NextCare Urgent Care & explained the situation, then asked how to contact them to check on it. I was put through directly & when talking to the tech she told me that I could just buy it over the counter. When I explained the Tricare coverage situation again she said she would have the PA I saw put it through. I verified that she will have both prescriptions listed & she said they would take care of it. I waited a few more minutes to allow time to get it through. When I went to check on it, the pharmacy tech said I only had Flonase in. I called NextCare yet again & got a hold of another costumer service agent. I explained how I had already called once & am incredibly upset about having to do this whole run around just to have something filled. He commended me directly again where I talked to another nurse or tech at the NextCare I was seen at. He said he would talk to the PA who told him that she couldn't write a script for it because it's not a medical device. My goodness... it is useful for my condition & free for me if she just wrote it down so I can pick it up from my pharmacy & use it to clear my sinuses & not be sick anymore... I am highly disappointed in all their services & they will not be receiving my business for care any longer & will not be getting any referrals from me if I am referred of base to urgent care.
