I'll start this off by saying I am not a Children's Museum kind of mom. I never went because I thought it would be boring. My daughter is in first grade and she got to go for her school field trip and she loved it... AND she brought home a pass for one adult and one child to go back for free. She really wanted to go back. So on Father's Day (when it was 118 degrees out) we decided this would be a perfect outing for her and our 10 month old.
Well we arrive and first off the girl was so kind checking us in - all 4 of us got in free. Two free with the pass, Dad was free for Father's Day and then the baby was free.
The first area is a tree house, very cool. My 7 year old loved climbing it. Right next to it is a baby area, a blocks area and a tent building area with connectors and fabric.
There are many other rooms all built around exploration. It really wore both girls out. If you've been thinking about going to the Children's Museum you might as well give it a try. Good for playdates. Perfect for hot summer days. Also, they have an area where you can bring your own snacks and sandwiches to enjoy, just like the Phoenix Zoo, which I really appreciate. So you don't have to go in and buy gross overpriced food. Another thumbs up for that policy.
