  • I always had a sneaking suspicion I would be a Vegas bride. As luck would have it, I was, and Mike and I got married at Vegas Weddings on July 4th, 2014. One word to describe the process leading up to the big day would be seamless. We ordered the package online that we wanted which included a limo to take us, my parents, and sister to the chapel, traditional music, a DVD of the ceremony, flowers, and photography, and organized wedding coordinators ensured that our wedding would be perfect. We swung by the day before to go over last minute details and felt confident that we were in good hands. On the day of, our limo picked us up promptly with theme music playing, running the gamut from The Shirelles "Going to the Chapel" to Bruno Mars "Marry You." It was super-festive! The driver was almost as sweet as the Tootsie Rolls and other candies he stocked the car with. Once we arrived for our wedding, we were warmly greeted by staff, including a coordinator, a videographer, and a photographer. Soon after, our officiant, Rev. Heidi, came and the ceremony began in the wedding chapel. I know that many people have images in their head of Vegas weddings being campy and even tacky, but our chapel that we selected (there were a few options, including a gazebo outside) was even prettier in person and Heidi's beautiful words made me start to tear up several times. Friends of our's were able to stream our wedding live from Vegas Weddings' website and it was fun to know that people who couldn't join us in person were able to share in our joy from afar. The next day, we returned to check out our photos. I expected that we would be happy with perhaps a handful and just buy prints of them. Instead, we were stunned to find out that almost every picture was a great one--photos of us making our vows, the lighting of the Unity Candle, posed shots by the limo with my dad blowing bubbles in our direction (yes, I happened to have a bubble maker in my clutch leftover from the boat cruise wedding we attended in 2013), and more. We purchased a disk with not only every shot, but thumbnails for posting online plus a Youtube-ready slideshow. Our DVD should arrive shortly. From start to finish, our wedding was everything I dremt of, if not better. I would urge any couple who is considering getting married in Vegas to check it out, in addition to couples who would like to renew their vows. I am delighted that we picked this venue to get married at, and even happier to be married to the man of my dreams.
