| - Planning a wedding in 3 months can be an overwhelmingly daunting task, especially when you and your fiancé have polar opposite taste. Thankfully we had Wedgewood.
PLANNING:
The wedding coordinators, Jackie and Megan, were exceptionally helpful, keeping in constant contact with us throughout the planning process. They basically took care of everything, which along side with the price and flexibility of the venue, was the biggest selling point for my wife and I. Their obviously extensive experience in the industry and friendly attitudes turned the chore of limited-time planning into a pleasant experience. A HUGE thank you to them!
Every interaction with a member of the Wedgewood family (and they seem like a tight-knit bunch) was a inviting and pleasurable experience. Everyone was very accommodating and helpful, and it was very apparent how much everyone enjoyed what they do.
THE CEREMONY:
Everyone tells you when you are planning a wedding that there is, inevitably, always something that goes wrong. This was not the case with Wedgewood. EVERYTHING was absolutely perfect! The ceremony went just as planned and the outside ceremony space was stunningly beautiful, second only to my gorgeous bride.
Post ceremony, our photographer, Jenelle, was very professional and friendly. It was clear to the both of us that she also had a lot of experience not only in staging the shots, but also in dealing with and managing the people in the pictures. She handled what could have been a bad situation with grace, when on the green for pictures a couple of rude women-golfers couldn't wait 1 minute for us to take a picture. Luckily our wonderful photographer had enough class to make up for the lack in the golfers.
Looking back, I would not change a single thing.
THE RECEPTION:
Another A++, and as a perfectionistic couple, that is saying something . It was everything we could have hoped for. There was singing and dancing, joyous tears and laughter, a good time all around. I even had guests coming up to me during the reception who wanted to talk about having their wedding there!
Chef Sean's food was fantastic, and Scott, Patty, Joe, Mark, and CJ and all of the hosts and serving staff were astounding. Scott especially was wonderful, making sure everything was as it should be and all guests were taken care of. What a great guy! A giant thank you to everyone!
I have to say though, other than my bride of course, the real star of the night was DJ Murphy. He made that night what it was. Friendly, receptive, adaptive, professional, funny, caring, accommodating... The list goes on and on. He loves what he does, and it shows, and he is great at it. Without him, the night would not have been the same. Everyone loved him. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking to throw a great party and have a fantastic time. Hats off to you DJ Murphy!
IN SHORT:
If you are looking for a gorgeous, accommodating, affordable wedding venue, Wedgewood is your place. They stick to their word, work with you, and take most of the hassle of wedding planning off of your shoulders. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making our wedding day so special, perfect and wonderful! Wedgewood is a Godsend!
