| - Outstanding service, while I hope I don't have to hire them again for a good long time but I wouldn't hesitate to do it again.
Finally decided that it was time to get the roof replaced after putting it off for far too long and wanted it done before the monsoon storms started up.
Did some internet searching for local roofing companies some I had heard their advertisements or see their trucks around town. I hadn't heard of Stell Roofing before but the Yelp reviews were very positive and having used Yelp before for some other purchases that ended well decided to add them to the 4 places I'd get bids from
Called the office and set an appointment. Mike was right on time, we talked for a few minutes and he started his inspection. After he did his inspection we walked along the outside of the house pointing out the condition of the fascia boards and which ones needed to be replaced, which ones were fine and which ones were borderline. Then went up on the roof too look at the bad parts of it, talked about how the penetrations and the 2 fireplaces would be sealed
.
Mike showed a lot of attention to detail and wasn't in a hurry to make an estimate shove it in my hands and be off. Mike also informed me that the roof did have storm damage and that I should call the insurance company and have them look at it and that his price wouldn't change if there was insurance money or not. Only 2 of the 4 companies mentioned that it looked like there was storm damage to the roof.
I decided to go with Stell due to Mike's attention to detail and thoroughness, while they were not the cheapest bid but I felt that they would be the most cost effective. I felt Mike was trying to give a better estimate of the true cost vs a lower bid and then coming back for more as there was more wood that needed to be replaced then in the initial estimate.
On the date the work crew led by Sergio arrived very promptly at 5 am and started right to work, they spread out tarps to capture and roof debris and started tearing off the old roof. One of the first things that they found was the AC was leaking water from the sides, I am very glad they told me about that
.
During the course of the re-roofing Sergio had me decide a couple of times if wood should be replaced or not I generally went with yes as I was spending that much money I wanted it to be done right. I had mentally added some more for wood replacement as realistically I didn't think you could see everything till you started talking it apart. The additional wood replacement that was needed was more than reasonable and I am glad I went with it

Took about 1.5 days, it was loud, and banging during that time, but I was expecting that. I wish I could say more about the crew that was here but they worked hard and worked efficiently, the quality of their work speaks for itself the roof is just excellent and they did a fantastic job on cleanup,
The end result was just great, it makes the house look so much better and has the new roof smell. Not two days after they finished an early morning power outage and rain storm rolled in. It was so nice to know that the roof wasn't going to leak that I could sit on the back patio and enjoy the rain.
I would not hesitate to hire them again them or to recommend them to others.
