  • Had a Valentines Day weekend at the Speckled Hen Inn. Outstanding! The staff are more than welcoming and courteous. Spoke with Heather (Innkeeper) numerous times, expressed that I wanted this to be special for my wife. I asked if she could accommodate laying rose pedals out in in the room before our arrival. Said she never had a guest ask that before, but was sure that it could be arranged. It was beautiful the way they did it. Very impressed. The rooms are beautiful and cozy. The grounds were equally beautiful, with plenty to explore with the walking trails. Breakfast was 3 courses, and super tasty. All vegetables and such are grown on site. The lamas are also fun to interact with. We had the privilege of seeing and feeding lamas that were only a few days old when we were there. Very cool. Bottom line, you won't be disappointed if you stay at this B&B. My wife and I will probably stay here again in the future.
