| - I love this place! I love the area in which it's located! This is one of the greatest places in all of Toronto, to see a band live. I have seen many. I saw one of the GREATEST Canadian bands of all TIME here: Weeping Tile! I saw them after walking out of the nearby Bloor Cinema (My FAVE theater in all of Toronto!) after seeing a movie, just in time to see Weeping Tile cover The Beastie Boys "Sabotage" perfectly! I am in a Creed video, I am embarrassed to confess, for the song, "Torn" shot inside this very venue. After the video shoot they had all the Molson Canadian you could drink and all the Pizza Pizza you could eat, so it wasn't a total loss. I saw amazing SoCal Stoner band Fu Manchu along with Shallow, North Dakota here. At that packed show, I stood right next to the wickedly gorgeous video director Floria Sigismondi for the entire duration of events! She is so hot! And an AMAZING director!! And I never said a word to her! (Hitting self-So stupid!) and I also I saw St. Louis band Gravity Kills with incredible Brit band Pitchshifter! The day after that show, I happened to be walking back past Lee's and I bumped into the lead singer of Gravity Kills and he and I talked for a while. He actually knew someone from my home town! Another time, I was walking past Lee's (like I said, I love the area!) and Anthrax was standing out in front. And I talked to them for a while too! Anthrax! So, anyway, Lee's is cool! Lee's is tiny and awesome! No better place to see a band (like a major, to mid-major act) in all of T.O.! Lee's may be far from a palace, but it is high in the hierarchy, a fortified castle among all of Canadian rock venues!
