  • Last summer, I needed some tile on the cheap, I am talking really cheap. My budget was minuscule, but my my tastes were not. I found Desert Liquidators on Craigslist. Yes, there are more than creepy personals & people selling stained couches on there. I went down to their building around 17th St & Washington to see what they had. Well, I was pleasantly surprised. They had really nice travertine & marble for great prices. They also had nice glass back splash tile sheets for dirt cheap. In addition they had some bathroom vanities that I was eyeballing, but sadly they were not in my puny budget. I ended up picking beautiful white & great 18X18 marble tiles. I got a great deal, & left very happy. The one reason that they lose a star, is when my tile guys went to pick up the marble, they gave them the wrong color. When the tile guys got back to my place, I had to send them all the way back to get the right tiles. It was a simple mistake made by an employee, & they made it right. This is a local family run business. They liquidate building materials, restaurants, bars, beauty salons, furniture, office buildings, and all other business assets. So next time you are looking for a great buy check with them first. They need to get a website together for sure, but I strongly recommend going down in person to see what they have, since their inventory is always changing. It's pretty cool. Plus, who doesn't love a smoking deal?
