  • As of December 2015, I still use uBreakiFix for all of my technology repairs. They fixed my broken screen on ASUS laptop for about $100. Great price, and I wouldn't trust anyone else. My original review said: I owe these people a serious and glowing review after what they did for me and my Enigma Machine (what I adoringly named my dear, sweet, loyal iPhone 4). It started when my iPhone power button become a tiny bit recessed. I dropped it, as I typically do, at work several times that day and I called Apple at Ross Park. Unfortunately, they told me I had to buy a new phone, which is ludicrous because it's a cheap repair and my iPhone has been a beast. Feeling like I had no other option, I spent some time researching how to repair it by myself. While looking, I remembered giggling at the "uBreakiFix" store sign solely for its name when it first opened in this area. What impressed me first was how quickly they were able to take my phone. I unfortunately forgot names, but the gentleman at the counter thoroughly looked my phone over, made the repair, and sent me on my way a mere 45 minutes and $50 later. To save my lovely iPhone for only $50 was superb and saved me from the risk of possibly obliterating my iPhone myself while attempting to make the delicate repair. Or from having to buy a new iPhone, which I knew I didn't need. A few months later, I, you guessed it, dropped my phone again. The proximity sensor no longer functioned or responded to any troubleshooting. While it voided the one year repair guarantee that I had with them, it was my stupid clumsiness so I called them again. uBreakiFix took me immediately ... but something happened that caused them to earn me as a loyal customer for life: The gentleman who went to fix my phone came back about five minutes later and told me that the sensor was fine. When I dropped the phone, it must have made the wire come loose. He plugged it back in and applied a small amount of glue to prevent it from happening again so easily. He refunded the money I had already paid for the repair and finished everything free of charge. I felt that this was a situation where they could have absolutely gotten another $50 out of me because I wouldn't have known. When someone goes out of their way to be honest like that, they earn my respect and lifetime patronage. If you're a klutz like me and frequently drop your technology, ESPECIALLY if it's a piece of Apple technology, don't take it to the Apple Geniuses. All they'll do is try to sell you a new phone. And, really, after dealing with Apple customer service since I got my first iPod in 2005, I don't know why I didn't realize it sooner: they don't know anything about the products they sell. They know how to take the battery out, do basic troubleshooting, reset the product ... but that's likely it. I HIGHLY recommend uBreakiFix if you need a technology repair. They're great, honest people, inexpensive, and a joy to chat with. They won't push you to buy extra repairs (they may make some suggestions) or products. Most importantly, they really know their stuff and your techno-baby will be safe in their hands. Thank you for what you did!!
