I went with a group of 4 for a late breakfast on a weekday during spring break. We had eggs Benedict (made with biscuits), the Wisconsin biscuit sandwich, French toast (also made with biscuits, although sweet ones) and biscuits and gravy. The French toast and biscuits and gravy were the standouts for us, although everything was really good.
Bloom makes flaky-style biscuits, crusty on the outside, tender inside and are probably the best I've had in Madison.
We also took a goat cheese, pear and pine nut galette and a couple lemon lavender cupcakes to go, and they were really excellent.
The real downside here is the modest size. I can imagine it would be a bit of a nightmare at prime time on a weekend to get a table and find a place to stand while waiting for that table.
