I've used Fry's quite a bit in Texas as they have excellent selection and prices. I won't be coming back to this store. Customer service was decent. They had a lot of trouble identifying what was in stock and what was not - which is really the fault of the management. After selecting a $1500 computer and $200 software package, I stopped in for a cup of coffee in their café. I tried to give a tip to the barista and was told that she'd be fired if she accepted the tip. I spoke to the manager of the café and she stated it was the store policy. I asked for the store manager, and he was pointed out to me standing around chatting in the café. He ignored me for about five minutes, then I decided to interrupt his discussion to complain. A business has no right to tell me what I am going to do with my money. If they have a problem with it, then I will do business elsewhere. I never had any problem with tipping at any of the Fry's in Texas. The store manager stared at me blankly as though his tiny brain was struggling to process my words. I left the shopping cart in the café and will find a computer elsewhere.
