| - This is a GREAT looking place - incredibly posh lobby, small theatres with electric reclining seats (IF you pay for the premium), but it does have problems:
1. The online reservation system NEVER works - every time I've tried to use it, I just give up and call the theatre. On the plus side, they do answer the phone, are helpful, and usually get me the tickets I'm looking for.
2. Apparently, guests don't rate clean blankets - several times I've gotten one that looked like a previous guest either blew his nose on, wiped soup off his mouth with, or... anyway, it's disgusting for what is supposed to be an upscale experience.
3. It's too dark to see what you're being charged for - they close out your ticket shortly before the movie ends and there's no way to really see what you're being charged for.
4. Service is spotty unless you pre-tip - that is, I've noticed that the service dramatically improves with a twenty up front with a promise of another twenty at the end. That's more of a tip than a complaint; still, in a perfect world, I'd rather reward great service instead of having to pay a bribe for it.
Anyway, the filet sliders are okay (NOT great) , but to AMC's credit, so are the chicken tenders and they're a fraction of the cost in a theatre where ALL the seats recline and can be had through an online ticket system that ACTUALLY WORKS.
Granted, Yelp Elite reviewers who get treated to free movies nights probably get clean blankets and don't have to worry about closing out their tickets, but for the rest of us...I suppose we're just out of luck.
