| - This review has been sitting as a draft since last summer (2016). Perhaps things have changed since then.
Pathetic Pesto Fettuccine Primavera. Surprisingly tasteless. No garlic, no parm, no flavor. And for a restaurant that prides itself on local sources, where are the seasonal (mid-August) summer veggies? I found carrots in three colors - pretty but no sweetness or freshness, faded and bland from last fall's root cellar? Peas, usually harvested and wax beans so colorless, they got lost in the sauce. Garnished with four tiny cherry tomato halves spaced around the rim of the bowl. No broccoli, no zucchini or summer squash, no red or green bell peppers, no red onion. It could have been so much more colorful and flavorful.
The "ice water" was really warm so I ordered a glass of the House white wine. I don't know when it actually arrived. Our party of six was seated at three small tables pushed together. Rather than serving each customer, our server reached across the table to hand us our dishes. So it was the same with my wine, placed on my neighbor's table to my right when I was looking the other direction. I was about to ask the server when I noticed it. I commented to my neighbor, I didn't see it there. She replied that it had been there for a while.
Last item to note is the decor - very dark and heavy. Kind of oppressive in the summertime.
