  • I believe this place used to be called Asahi Sushi for the longest time. I was walking my dog in the area and was kind of surprised to see the exterior change and also the name change too, so I decided to definitely try this place sometime later on...when I wasn`t walking my dog. It was always in the back of my mind whenever I was in this plaza (same plaza as Freshco) but I never got a chance to try it. I finally decided to come here for lunch. It was around noon and I think we were the only guests at the time. I found this place very small and cramped for each table. When we were shown to our table, I was trying to wrap my head around how we were supposed to enter our booth (the table is very long and blocks off the entry to the seats). The waitress had to physically move the table sharply off to one side to let each of us enter to our seats. This is one thing I found uncomfortable about my dining experience while I was here. Even stick thin people cannot enter the booth without moving the table...That is how cramped it was. We also had to physically move the table to free ourselves out of the booth after paying the bill lol. I had a look at the menu, and we were also given a photobook of their menu items which is something I haven`t seen at any sushi places before, which is nice. I noticed they also do some korean dishes (not officially on their main menu). So, I ordered the lunch special roll set. It was a pretty good deal. I got to choose a special roll (8pcs) and a mono roll (6 pcs) for 12.50$ which also comes with soup and salad (but is not mentioned on the menu). Really good value for the amount of good sushi. I was surprised when the waitress came to our table and also served us come complimentary appetizers before we started our lunch. It was really nice of them. When my order arrived I really thought the presentation was cute. The sushi tasted really fresh and good. The special roll I ordered was not cut up evenly, some pieces were larger than others making it slightly difficult to put into my mouth, but for the most part was manageable. What really stood out in this place I think was the really courteous service. I also thought it was really nice of the sushi chef to come by and ask us how our meal was.
