  • Just the facts here... Two years ago I purchased a car from them. I had an internet price, but was told I could not get it because I needed to mention it when I first came in. So I ended up paying a couple thousand more for the car. It had been a long day of car shopping, and I was exhausted and just wanted it over, so I did it. That's mostly on me, but it left a bad taste in my mouth. Now, I wanted to look at a different car and trade mine in. I did my research--car value, trade in value, what they would likely sell it for, how easy it would be for them to sell, how long the car I wanted had been on the lot, when the new ones were coming out...all of it. The salesman even remarked, "wow, you've done your research". Well, I had learned my lesson from the last time. Anyway, I came back to them thinking maybe they would treat a repeat customer differently. I was wrong. They wanted to low ball me on my trade, which is in pristine condition and low miles for the year, and gave me my price on the new one...plus this, and this, and this. They said "we gave you your price". I had told them exactly what I needed to make a deal, which was fair for them, they would make a couple grand and get a car off their lot that had been sitting there in exchange for one they said was popular. And it would have been a good to very good deal for me. Instead they wanted great for them and horrible for me. So needless to say, two strikes, and they're out. It's a shame. Fortunately, there's a new dealership not far away in Surprise, so that's where I'll be headed after I get over another bad experience at Larry Miller. Another reviewer had said if you do your research you'll have a "relatively" decent experience. That wasn't true for me. I think it made it worse, because I understood very well how bad their offer was. I do want to add that the salesperson was nice, but he changed his story about my trade...the first time it was "these sell all the time", and after I turned down the deal because the trade-in offer was so low, it was "we don't know if we'd even keep it here". The manager was...well, he kept trying to tell me what a great deal I was getting, even the day after when he called me to get me back. Like I was stupid for not taking the deal. Very aggressive. When will car dealerships learn that customers HATE aggressive sales people.
