While in Toronto I was excited to visit Yummy Market after a friend recommended it. I was told this place had an enormous selection of all the good old stuff. Upon arriving at their site I gazed across the parking lot at it and was stunned to see it was like a giant Loblaws or Sobeys, except full of better stuff! I went inside and right away felt like I had saved myself a $2K airfare to the old country because being there felt like the real deal. There was a great bakery section, lots of pre-made authentic stuff, pickles, sauerkraut, and tons of European products. I went to the pre-made section (salads and stuff) but was dismayed to see the soviet style service model was being used (apathetic service) and with a clientele that was as pushy as you'd expect in Russia. The place was very busy but it does have an impressive inventory. All in all I'd have to rate this place as a "meh" as there is a much better and smaller place within a few kilometers of there.
