| - This is a complicated review for me, lots of pros and lots of cons.
I came to this gym originally with Stephanie S. and had a decent workout for sure. I've gone back a few times, but I'm definitely torn on if I will continue.
First off the price is atrocious. $40/ bi weekly. You've got to be kidding me. Especially when I can workout at Talisman (which I think is a nicer facility) for a fraction of the price. Parking can suck, but I generally go at weird times.
Locker rooms are always clean and quiet spacious which is nice. I do love the infrared sauna, as opposed to traditional saunas. I have yet to use the pool, it would be way better if it was inside and you could use it all year, not the 4 months we kind of get summer in Calgary.
Last time I was there, all the bosu balls were flat, I couldn't find a medicine ball to save my life. People had their stuff every where and had no routine to how they were working out and a small selection of kettle bells in light weights.
I've wanted to get into squash, so it's great there is a pro shop and so forth there, but you have to pay extra money. Which again I think is a rip off, especially when other gyms provide full use.
I don't think I'll ever get a membership unless they offer some wicked special, without all the fine print crap and just do drop ins when I feel the need or if I'm going with someone.
