| - I signed up for internet for 19.00 a month, (Good Deal) and hooked it up myself, then I signed up online with a person who did not speak good English for cable TV. He gave me a confirmation number, a good price of 79.00 per month and told me to go to a Cox store to pick up my equipment because my building was already wired and ready for cable. Well, the cox store said the confirmation number did not exist, and the price he gave me for the services he offered me would have been over 125.00! The Cox store said this happens all the time because they do not communicate with one another and he probably never entered the order because he knew it was not correct. They set me up with basic cable, channels 3-19, and Showtime for 45.00 a month. Then due to an emergency I had to move after two weeks of having my cable and three weeks after having my internet. I could not have these services because where I moved to, Cox does not service the area. Got my last bill, 125.00 plus!!!! They tried to charge me for technicians coming to my home twice,(NEVER HAPPENED) activation fee???? not according to the Cox store and after I got it all straightened out and paid, They called me about my current bill!!!! I will never use Cox again, I will do without TV before I use them. Shame on your scams against elderly people, yes I am 66. BEWARE OF COX FRAUDELENT BILLING PRACTICES!
