| - I feel a bit bad for only now reviewing Soma, as my wife and I have been Several times now.
We make at least one trip to Toronto per year, and we never, never, never, miss Soma.
NEVER.
Where to start? With the chocolates of course!
My Favorites begin with their Unique origins collection, of which the Papua New Guinea 70% and Jamaica 70% really shine. The whole collection is well made and going from piece to piece you can really note the subtle differences from each. So eat one of each, and leave time to savor in between.
After that, I really love the Douglas Fir. the tipped cone shape really appeals to the eye and the flavor is mild and wonderful. Fleur de Sel Butter Caramel is amazing. Pistachio Crisp is amazing. Wild cherry bomb, Bergamot, "Arbequina" olive oil, Orange Marzipan, Roasted Cocoa bean, Spicy Mayan dome, and on and on and on.
All of their chocolate melts is a most pleasing way upon your tongue and coats your mouth before simply disappearing.
We haven't even gotten into the visual experience of the shop itself, which will warmly envelop you upon entering and welcome you to sit and enjoy or take away and enjoy if you must. But do make your way here for the finest of chocolates that Toronto offers.
