| - These apartments consist of the complex and their various satellite properties. I've only lived in one of the satellite properties nearby, but the complex amenities are available to all of us. There is a pool with a lifeguard in the summer with various chairs, grills, dog run, garden plots, a small gym. Being in a satellite property, I even have a deck, which is great when it's warm out, and it's a decent size, not something tiny.
For the price of rent, I would not expect such great things. The pool is well kept, but slightly shaded by trees so there are leaves and bugs a lot, but that's expected. I've never used the grills but they are gas grills and available for tenants and for the organized events the office runs. The dog run is small, but seems great for dogs to run around in to get out some energy. The complex even has bags around for cleaning up. You can request a garden plot in the summer if you want one, and it's free, so great if you like to garden. The gym is all right. Limited machines and weights, and the ceiling is low so my boyfriend(6' tall) can't use the elliptical or his head can hit the ceiling.
The office will take packages for you when you're away and email you to let you know to come pick them up. The package pick up hours aren't the best but the office manager is great so I'm sure something could be worked out if the hours don't work for you. They are quick about maintenance, and even change lightbulbs. They use CFL bulbs so they shouldn't have to be changed a lot. I've called about a lightbulb and had someone come out the next day to change it for me, which is great since I can not reach most of the ceilings in my apartment since they are too high.
I've lived here a few years now and like it a lot. I definitely recommend HPCA if you're looking for a pet friendly nice apartment for a good price.
