Registering here is not the best. I would suggest going to a different campus to do so but obviously if you are local then seeing an advisor here does the job.
The buildings can be a little overwhelming for newcomers as it's not very clear which building is what. There is always someone to ask though, including security guards.
During normal daytime school hours, parking here is terrible. People are aggressive and do not know how to drive in a parking lot. I tend to stay away from the main parking and park down the road across the street or in the parking lot further down past the lights and the Taco Bell.
You have Starbucks basically on campus and a few other food places (Peppi's[my preferred choice], Subway, Taco Bell, Wendy's, 7-11) within a short walking distance.
Facilities here are great. Plenty of computers to use including both Macs and PCs (although not much software pre-installed). They do have a fitness center and gymnasium that I have yet to use. Restrooms, they are almost always clean. I can really appreciate this a lot.
At points in time the campus looks a little bit worse for wear but they are constantly fixing it. The one advantage I like about here is that when it's nice out, there is plenty of space to sit outside and enjoy the weather. Also, you get a cool view of Pittsburgh from the far side of the campus!
