| - Where was this place when I was a kid? Wall to wall 3D trampoline arenas for bouncing, jumping, tumbling and dodge ball fun? Yes that's right, Extreme Dodge Ball on trampolines I said it!
So what exactly brought my flock of "too old to be here" mix bag of guys and gals on a Sunday afternoon. Who knows but we stood out like sore thumbs amidst the sea of sweaty smelly kids, preteens and teens
Overall, the experience was OK at best. Realistically this was a 2.5 star experience but I'm rounding up for good measure. Let me run through the good the bad and the ugly on this one for you.
Good:
- Facilities were enjoyable (multiple trampoline arenas, a foam pit and a slam dunk area), all very well organized and clean!
- Location was convenient, and heck located right next door to the NEW Amsterdam brewery and retail store (Score).
- Price was OK, at $15/hr for adults it wasn't too hard on the wallet, and that included rental of their special trampoline shoes
- Senior staff was really great at keeping "big kids" (my posse) and "little kids" on different areas of the arenas. So that meant when we walked out that means they moved the kids out of the way. I appreciated that.
Bad:
- Shoes, you gotta wear the same pair of sweaty shoes that others before you have worn hundreds of times. They claim to disinfect with a spray BUT I didn't have socks and all I could think of when I was told I "HAD" to wear their bacteria boats was how much I was going to enjoy getting athletes food...
- Kids. OMG! Avoid this place anytime before conventional "Bedtime." As can be expected, kids are just being kids, but when kids are being kids in packs, they are annoying as nails on a chalk board (grumble grumble). And let's face it if you're a parent letting your kids go buck wild here for a couple hours is a break for you NOW and a break later when they're so tired they go right to bed. SO no fault here, I'd do the same thing but IF you are an older patron be advised.
The UGLY:
- Save for the few senior team members mentioned above, most of the staff were young high school aged and a little bit snippy for the most part. Seemed to have patience for kids but spoke down to adults, myself and others included. Easy sonny you're only a few years older than some of the kids in that birthday party. Take your teen angst out on someone else, not a paying customer. I think management needs to remind the younger staff to be courteous....or at the very least smile!
My friends and I had a great time, I almost threw up my 2 Bloody Caesars from lunch from all the bouncing but that was my bad.
