This was probably my favorite italian experience so far. Before we even got in the down the owner came out to where we were waiting for more friends to get a count and invite us in. Our table was ready when we got there and his personality and personal touch was really greatly appreciated in a world of drab in phoenix. The place was crowed and there wasn't a single table empty. The whole place has a very family feel to it. The tables and walls are covered in family pictures and vacations to italy. (wish i was in their family)
The menu is kinda funny because all it has on it are the names of the dishes, it doesn't waste anytime trying to tell you what those dishes are lol.
It's BYOB and there's no corking fee, the waiter seemed kinda of bewildered when we knew previous to showing up about that but still didn't bring anything with us. He was very helpful and animated.
We got all of a drinks and food in good time. I ordered one of the specials, "pasta alex" which was a pesto and tomato sauce with some ground sausage pasta dish. Man was it good, and I mean really good. We all walked away raving about how good the food was. Everyone was super happy and half of us got their specialty dishes.
My friend and i shared one of their canolis and it was really awesome as well.
I don't have anything bad to say about this place, i'll pay the price of kickass italian food any day.
They only take cash! and they don't even give you an itemized bill, lol it just came on the back of our order that was given to the cook, and it just said $135. LOL but I really don't care, I'll pay it!
