This place underwent a bit of a renovation and while I think the new decor looks a bit odd (reminds me of a children's toy store) it is still a pretty cool place to shop. As far as I know they have always been about selling all natural products but with the renos also came a shift to promote the anti toxin movement even stronger through store advertisements as well as email. I noticed the staff seems a bit more educated about toxins and chemicals now which it is pretty smart on the part of the company. The better educated your staff is the better the position they are in to pass that knowledge along to the customer and generate more interest in the products.
I came in specifically to see if they carried shampoo that wouldn't burn like the fires of Hades if it got in my eye. The young lady that greeted me was very friendly and helpful with finding what I needed. The bottle was a wee bit pricey at $14.00 but I was willing to make the sacrifice to get chemical free shampoo. Regardless of what your needs are whether they be skin, hair,or something for baby they seem to have a product for every need and preference. I will probably be back the next time I am in Southgate for the conditioner and coming from someone as frugal as me that really says something!
