  • No, no, no, no, no, no.... Enough said! No! Unfortunately, i like to ramble, so I will add more. :) We stopped her for the chicken after driving nonstop from San Diego. We have a deep love for fried chicken (and heart attacks) so were eager to give Chesters a try. When we sat down to begin eating we were first struck by the smell, it didn't have that delicious artery clogging fried smell we look forward too, instead it was very burnt. I think either the oil was burnt, or old, or old and burnt, or old and burnt and not really oil. Either way, i feel this place owes chickens everywhere an apology. These chickens died for NOTHING. We took a couple bites and tossed the chicken. The potato wedges were so thick, unseasoned and clearly fried in the same old, burnt, not really oil, oil as the chicken. I am vaguely aware there was a biscuit with our meal, but wasn't going to risk the disappointment.
