  • A waste of money & time and unfortunately made things worse for a couple months. Do not expect this Dr/Facility to do an accurate sleep study and expect them to make your health worse not better. Previous sleep studies were done in another state so we knew what a good sleep study should be like. We were told do not bring in our current machine that they would use their own machine (an off brand machine, when typically your current machine is used if you have one of the common/popular ones). Information was given to the Dr and the clinic on the current apap/cpap settings so they knew what was working (a range of 5-15 adjusting to the user, the average was at 11 for most of the night, never below 8 all night long). We were only getting a study as the DME said we HAD to get a new study since we had recently moved to AZ (we found out later that was not true at all). They started the study late at night at a level 4 and bumped it up at times. They ended the study early the next morning at a level 7 - they never went higher then that despite the fact the APAP at home set itself typically around an 11. Looking at the actual study, it showed that sleep got worse over the night (O2 saturation lowered, sleep efficiency lowered, AHI was worse at level 5 and just fine at the other numbers - that did not match with any of our at home results). The Dr did a CPAP, not APAP prescription (e.g. one level not adjustable based on what the user needed). Note: Everyone should have an APAP setting as we don't sleep the same every minute of every night. The DME reset our machine to this setting and gave us the masks/tubing/filters needed. Things went down hill with sleep apnea symptoms getting worse and worse. Calls to the Dr were replied to with "that setting is what the study said". We finally did an O2 overnight test at home and sent in the results with a formal letter stating the sleep apnea symptoms were getting worse and worse on the setting and the Dr immediately did the prescription to the original APAP prescription and then the sleep apnea symptoms disappeared.
