My experience at Skoah was pretty good but not exactly what I was hoping for. The staff was very friendly, I filled out my form and they brought me back very quickly. The chair took a little getting used to but all in all it was pretty comfy. The music was a little loud for my liking - I liked the music but wish they would have turned it down a bit to make it more relaxing.
The aesthetician cleansed my skin and then put a mask on it, and then checked my face under a lamp. Afterwards, she mentioned that if she'd seen it beforehand, she would have used a different cleanser (moisturizing one) which made me wonder why she hadn't. Shouldn't a facial mean using all of the best ingredients for someone's skin to make it the best possible?
Also, I wish they'd steamed my face. I've had it done before and it's my favourite part. I agree with Linda that the extraction part was a little weak.
Not a fan of the pressure to buy products afterwards, although she did back off when I said no the first time, which was good. Also, my facial was called the "Power Hour" but it was only 45 minutes. I guess I could have looked at the website but when I booked it over the phone, she could have mentioned that.
Still on the fence as to whether I'll be back. It was pretty relaxing but left much to be desired.
