| - Whew it's been a hot minute since I've been to YC's. I was in the area and had some time to kill before meeting a friend for tea so I stopped in. The entrance was a bit backed up with how many people were in line, but it moved quickly and the woman working at the register was quick and efficient at ringing up orders. Then manager was also great about going around and making sure everyone was doing well and ringing up customers too.
I got a small dinner bowl, which also includes a drink, soup, rice, and froyo. I tried to master the art of piling high into my bowl and think I did an okay job. I got Alaskan cod and tofu for my proteins and added veggies, different noodles, and one of their sauce creations from their menu. If I would've read the menu more clearly, I would've added shrimp and an egg (additional costs). Before your food goes on the grill, the cooks scrape it off and add fresh oil. I added raw peanuts on top for a nice crunch. Everything was hot and delicious but unfortunately I was strapped for time so I bought a to-go box for $.50. Leftover YC's isn't as tasty so I recommend eating as much as you can while it's fresh. And I also wouldn't get the red potatoes or cod again, they didn't jive with the rest of the ingredients.
All in all, I'm glad I came back here and it's good to see that they still offer a healthy serving of food for a decent price, unlike another Mongolian grill chain. No hate, but you gotta stay loyal to the OG.
