  • I'm very judgment when it comes to candles. I'm not playing with Yankee Candles anymore. They may smell delicious, but there is no scent when it burns, I swear! This happens a lot with candles. Smells good then you get it home and burn it and nothing. I admittedly like strong candles and always go towards the food scents. Anything cake, cookies, cinnamon, vanilla, almond etc I'm into. I hate floral scents and I can take or leave fruit scents. I've bought a handful of local candles to mixed reviews. I'm so thankful Soyil candles has come into my life! I had heard of them before, but only just bought one at my fave local store love, Pittsburgh in Mt. Washington. I'm currently burning the almond cake and it is legit almond smelling. I bought an almond candle from Bath & Body Works and it smelled nothing like almond and I was pissed! I also love the Home Sweet Home, which is cinnamon and vanilla (I think). I was skeptical. But when we started burning it, I kept saying how awesome it smelled. It was burning downstairs and I was shocked to smell the delicious scents upstairs too. I couldn't believe I'd finally found a candle that exceeded my expectations. So now I'm officially obsessed. I need to stock up asap. They carry them at a handful of retail shops and salons around town, as well as ship them from their online site. Seriously, they are worth every penny and you can thank me when your house smells so amazing!
