| - I really didn't think this place was THAT bad. I was scared after seeing the reviews.
Pros:
-Cheap
-Not too far from the strip
-Was relatively clean
-Good tv shows
-A/c very cold
-A refrigerator!! Which I was excited because a lot of the more expensive places I've stayed didn't have one
-They give you two shampoos/lotions/soap when you first come in your room (instead of one each)
-Continental breakfast- eggs, pancakes, waffles
-decent customer service/somewhat friendly
-two beds
-pool and hot tub
-very close to a Walgreens
-lots of mirrors (if you are staying with multiple girls, all getting ready at once)
-close to a really good pizza place (forgot the name but you can alway yelp pizza when you are there)
-also steps away from an amazing Italian restaurant
-pool table in lobby
-close to the high roller (the ferris wheel looking thing that are individual bar/lounges with a huge view of vegas, next trip I hope to go there)
Cons:
-$100 CASH deposit upon check-in (you get it back when you check-out) but we weren't aware of this, so if you bring a limited amount of cash with you and you don't like atm fees keep this in mind (they do have an atm in the lobby if you don't care about fees)
-carpet was dirty
-odd smell in the halls
-we did have to take a taxi back and forth a lot, because while it is near the strip its a little out of the way from New York, New York, and surrounding casinos, didn't want to walk that far
-our window faced the pool so loud kids could be heard screaming in the morning/afternoon
-no casino
-towels looked old and weren't fluffy and white, more of an off white
-room was a little dark even with all the lights on
-deceiving online pictures
Honestly if your not spending much time in the room/hotel and you're just looking for a cheap place to stay, this place might be the place for you. Would I stay here again? Probably not. I've always stayed at the Luxor or Excalibur but due to a convention most places were booked. I don't think this place was as bad as the other reviews stated, though.
