  • Highland Park reflects the worst course management in the region. While the Metroparks' courses are gems, Highland is an embarrassment to the city and region. Sprinklers are left unattended flooding greens and fairways. Still other fairways haven't scene water in weeks and are rock dry. The greens are in horrible condition and the tee boxes reflect neglect and incompetence. It's a mystery to me why the incompetence is tolerated. Every other public course in the region is in great shape. Only Highland seems to feel its primary mission is to give the geese a landing pad to crap everywhere. I hope some day Metroparks will take over at least one of the courses.
