  • We purchased a 2014 Certified, Pre-owned Q60 Convertible about a year ago. It had only been driven by an Infiniti dealership (had never been sold) and had 7,000 dealer miles when we purchased it. The Car Fax was totally clean. Within a few months we noticed a small chip in the paint, rear left quarter panel - we did not know why. Over time, it continued to flake away, becoming larger and larger. I stopped by an independent body shop for an estimate to repair. The body man there said that clearly there had been body work done on this quarter panel, and the paint was flaking away due to poor adhesion. He said factory paint would never flake like this, and he could see slight imperfections in the paint that were a dead give-away. I took the car back to Infiniti of Peoria pointing out that we had been deceived about the condition of the car we purchased, and asked that they refinish the quarter panel. The manager, Bill Munz, said Infiniti would not make good on this. Three lessons were learned here: 1. A clean Carfax doesn't mean anything. 2. Infiniti is not above concealing damage, and misleading their customers. 3. Infinity of Peoria - a part of Berkshire Hathaway - will deceive you and screw you over, but won't do anything to make it right. What would Warren Buffet think about that business model! Not much, I suspect. This is our last transaction with this Infiniti of Peoria. Do yourself a lesson, and learn from my lesson. Infiniti and Integrity, are not synonymous.
