  • Ice skating in the middle of Las Vegas Blvd. For the holiday season since my friend came in to visit us from San Diego a group of us decided to visit the rink and see what all the hype was about for this holiday season. Upon arrival we became a little bit confused on how to find the location since there aren't many signs pointing you in that direction. However once we found the location of The Rink, we took the escalators up to the 4th floor to get there and when we arrived at the rink we saw that the rink was smaller than imagined but still a very nice size rank. Upon arrival we saw a sign that said see a Hostess but we couldn't find a hostess so we went to the bar to receive directions on how to grab a table or a place to sit and eat and how to ice skate. So, we learned that Ice skating on the weekends are $20 for 6 hours of ice skating time if your local and you come on Tuesday, Wednesday and I think possibly Thursday you do receive a discount. Just a word of caution when coming, dress warm because, if you do not reserve a fire pit you will be freezing as there are no heating lamps around the rink and the only way to stay warm is if you either a get a fire pit that you have reserved or be go inside to get warm and come back out. When we sat down we reviewed the small menu but still had great choices which contained chicken fingers with kettle chips, grilled cheese and tomato soup cheeseburgers and kettle chips, etc. They even had a small rendition of s'mores as dessert which they bring up a little small fire pit to your table for you to roast the marshmallows. In regards to drinks they have hot chocolate, beer, fun little holiday martinis and Specialty holiday drinks. Such as the McAllister as a liquor drink that represents the holiday season. If you decide you would like to ice skate they do have little balancing seals and dolphins that you can use to push around to help you ice skate on the rink. However, if you choose not to ice skate then you can stand around the rink or just sit and watch the kids run around and look at people jump in the hot tub while enjoying a couple of wintry fun drinks and food. I will also say don't stay long because it is absolutely cold, so it's sort of a get in and get out quick type of place. Overall I would say we had a lot of fun and we would definitely be back.
