The fuel pump suddenly died on my 370Z. It was under warranty and Midway was the nearest dealer so I had it towed there. The repair went okay, took a couple days, but no big deal. When I brought the car in it had half a tank of fuel. When I arrived to picked it up, the fuel tank was empty. I asked my service manager about this and he told me the gauge was already broken when I brought it in but now it was working properly. What!?? If that were the case I would be running out of gas when the gauge showed half full and that never happened. Besides, I knew when I had most recently filled the tank and how much I had driven since. I told him that this seemed unlikely and basically got a shrug in response. I asked if they could at least put a little gas in it so I could make it to a gas station and was told they didn't have a pump, but that there was a gas station around the corner. I asked to have a customer service rep call me and went to fill it up. The tank was absolutely bone dry taking more gas than normal when it's on empty. I received a call the next day from a customer service rep. I explained the situation and was told she would look into it and call back. That was the last I heard and that was a month and a half ago. So weird!
