  • My husband, daughter, and I just left today following an 8 day stay. Overall, we really liked it, but it wasn't perfect. The hotel staff is extremely nice, professional, and made us feel at home. We were initially put into a double/double room, which doesn't work well considering we needed a pack and play for our daughter and were staying for quite awhile. Our bellhop was extremely helpful not only getting us switched to a larger room, but he also helped us arrange to get a refrigerator and the pack and play. The first two days were amazing, then the renovations going on overhead started. They started at 9:00am, which for us is fine because we have a personal alarm clock (aka our 2 year old) to wake us up, but for anyone else who likes to sleep in (*ahem* me pre-child) it would have been terrible. We left for the day by 11 and believe me, the jackhammering going on overhead was enough to drive me crazy. Surely, I thought, they'd be done jackhammering by the time we got back around 3:30 and by the time we put our daughter down for a late afternoon nap. Nope. I eventually called down to ask, explaining that while I knew progress had to be made, I wanted to know how long to expect this to continue for. All week, 7am to 5pm. We were told that they could move our room, but it would be back to a double/double. Not happening. My husband later went down to ask in person what our options were and they finally came around and gave us a pretty similar room for the remainder of the week. I only mention this because nowhere on the website or Travelocity where I booked through, did they mention renovations were underway. In addition, they shouldn't have put any guests, especially long term, on the floor below or really above, which I understand would mean a significant loss, but if they hasn't moved us, we would have cancelled the rest of our stay and moved to another hotel. Other than that, we loved the hotel. The kids playroom was amazing as was the staff. The kids pool area should have had a shallow end, 3.5 feet as the shallowest point is too deep, and a little warmer temperature wise, but I liked that they had a separate pool area for kids so I didn't have to worry about my daughter disturbing grumpy child haters. My husband and I both agreed that we would gladly stay here again in the future, provided the renovations are complete....
