I don't know what to make of this place. When I go I actually have a really good time. The few people that hang out there seem cool. They always talk to me like I'm a friend. I sampled the nachos when they first opened and they were good. People talk about the interior being crappy but actually compared to the other bars in the 'hood the place is a palace. The beer is fairly cheap by Toronto standards (like $4.50 for a bottle) but a little pricey for the neighbourhood (a couple doors down will give you the same thing for $3.50). The karaoke events also have a great selection of songs.
The reason I'm unsure about the place is that they are never open. For the longest time there were no posted hours so I'd ask the manager when they would be open. Sometimes it would be right, sometimes it would not. I notice now that they have hours posted but I've walked by during those hours and they've been closed and I've walked by after those hours and they've been open.
As I said I like hanging out there and it's almost visible from my place so I'd be there for casual drinks all the time if only I knew when to plan to go. Time will tell if the act comes together.
