| - This was my first time staying at the MGM after wanting to stay there for so long. My sister told me it was average, so I wasn't expecting too much. But I have to say I left happy and impressed.
Parking: Parking was easy, the structure is easy to get to and it's location is fairly close to the lobby. It is $12 per day, but if you add it to your room charges, then you can use your room key for in and out privileges at all of the MGM owned properties, which I thought was great!!
Check in: I was a little scared because it was a Friday afternoon, but the check in was so quick! There were approximately 20 people in line, but there were also 20 front desk clerks checking people in! We only waited about 5 mins to get checked in! Great! The girl that helped us was so sweet! I had originally booked a West Wing King room, but I asked if there were any complementary upgrades available and she said yes! She got us into a Grand Queen room with a view of the strip, with no additional charge! Thanks girl!
Room: It wasn't very much of a difference from the West Wing, but it was something! The bathroom was bigger then what the other room had, so I was happy. We inspected the beds as we arrived, since i heard about a recent beg bug incident. Everything looked clean and great! They had extra pillows in the closet and plenty of towels. They do have a mini fridge, but the girl at the front desk warned us that everything inside has a sensor, so if we move anything, we'll be charged for a restocking fee and the item. Refrigerators were available though for an additional $25.
I liked how it was fairly close to a lot of things on the strip and how easy it was to get from one place to another, and all the restaurants the hotel had. We also checked out Tiesto at the Hakkasan and had a lot of fun! The pool was great! I had never been to any pools in Vegas and I really wanted to try these out. I say these because there were literally like 4 pools, plus a lazy river and a jacuzzi! So impressive! I wish we didn't have to buy the inner tubes for the lazy river though, they were at least $20, wish I would have brought my own.
Can't wait to stay at the MGM again! Maybe next time I'll try out the Stay Well rooms!
