We visited this museum (with 13 year old BG twins) accidentally during our Spring Break. It was accidental because we thought we had put in one of the other Discovery family of museums into our GPS, but it lead us here. Not to miss an opportunity, we decided to stick around.
We started with an Imax film and then started on the third floor with the intention of working our way down. We ended up getting trapped (by our own creativity) in the two 3rd floor maker spaces. The maker spaces were the highlight of the visit.
We broke for lunch and then came back to se the daVinci exhibit. We've actually seen variations on the daVinci exhibit many times at different locations.
We we ran out of time to see anything else, because the crowds meant that there was a wait to do any of the other hands-on activities.
Overall, it was a good experience, but, with the exception of the maker spaces, not especially distinctive. At 13, and having reciprical museum passes from museums local to us, we've been to Many museums, so it's not easy to "Wow" us these days.
