This place has been a spot I've gone to hang out with my friends but today's visit changed my thoughts about this place. I ordered their royal milk tea hot and I opened the drink and it was missing a few inches. I asked the person working (Maria) and she told me they keep it like this because they don't want it to splatter when they MICROWAVE the drink! Didn't think a proper tea place like this one would microwave their hot drinks. You got some good stuff, but you lost me with microwave. The drink was not steaming hot like I expected; but I guess you can't achieve that through a microwave. You say the drinks are portioned, so why not put it in cups that won't make customers ask why the drink isn't filled
I was hoping to receive better customer service as well especially since they have a tip screen. Not even a thank you from the cashier, which is basic customer service. I understand you can have bad days but if tips are said out loud, at least give out a smile or something. There are some pretty charismatic cashiers/servers but I guess hers isn't up to par as everyone else's.
There are some good stuff like the space and the games as well as a good selection of snacks and desserts, hence the 3 stars, but other than that, no more Tea of Joy.
