| - I was provided a quote in the store to change my front and rear diff fluid, and transfer case oil. I was provided a quote, and asked the manager to insure that he had the correct oil quoted. I scheduled my appointment, and arrived to drop truck off and make sure everything was as we had agreed prior to leaving the vehicle. The service advisor went through the quote with me, and I agreed, complete with my signature with the agreed amount. I received a voicemail from the shop letting me know that the bill would be $40 more than the quote because the transfer case had special oil. I called the shop back within the hour, and asked why the special oil wasn't identified and priced to begin with. This seems like something you'd expect the servicing shop to know before providing a quote to the customer. I asked if they had started with the change, as I was going to get my truck. He told me that the oil had already been drained. This is unacceptable, and the customer shouldn't be responsible for such a mistake. It's not the 40 bucks that upsets me, it's the principal of this transaction that wasn't right in my opinion. Unfortunately, first and last visit for me. Seems like such a small thing to be willing to lose a customer for, but that's just me..
