  • Overindulgence is what being Vegas is all about. I didn't want to spring for the upgrade on the buffet passes, so we only did the basic all you can eat at 5 different buffets in 24 hours deal. Without signing up for the Caesars Palace Total Rewards program, it's $59.99 for adults over 21 years old and $54.99 for those under 21. If you sign up, it's $54.99 for adults. Apparently, you can sign up for the basic pass at all the 5 participating buffets, but you can't sign up for the Rewards program there, only at Rewards Center booths. Oh yeah, be aware that the upgrade is for per visit. So each time you hit an upgrade buffet site, you will need to pay the extra $15-20. We started close to 8 am and had breakfast, lunch, and dinner in one day. We then had breakfast the next morning. Paris had the best breakfast of the basic 5 (crepe station was delicious). Lunch at Planet Hollywood was meh. Dinner at Rio was pretty good, mostly because of the crab legs. The cold ones are already cracked for you, albeit overly salty. Warm ones were yummy. Overall, quality of food was mediocre, maybe better than what you might find at most buffets in your town. Definitely not like what I'd expect when you think, "Vegas buffets!" If you have children and/or have to plan your overeating experiences around other more important activities, it can be a hassle to make sure you get 3-4 meals in and get your money's worth. If I had to do it all over again, I would only choose a really awesome buffet and pay for one binge. Also, I'd rather buy groceries (if you have a kitchen in your hotel) or eat fast food if on a budget. Then again, I can now say I've been there and done that on the buffet and buffets. Just wouldn't bother with it ever again.
