  • NOBODY I know of actually 'enjoys' going to the dentist's office, and probably nobody gets into it less than me. After four years of kind of 'living on a prayer' with the condition of my teeth, I decided I had to 'bite the bullet', so to speak, and go in for at least a general cleaning. Island isn't even a five-minute walk away from our place....and for some reason, it gave me even MORE pause. Could a dentist's office be THAT close to home, yet still provide you with excellent service? The answer I am more than happy to give is YES! It was great meeting Dr. Askew, who gave me the lowdown on what work would have to be done on my teeth (amazingly not as much as I expected, as it turned out!) But it was Carrie, Thasia and Stephanie (I hope I got those names right!) who really took the best care of me, and made the visit not feel so much like a "visit". As I have to go in for continuing work, thanks to everyone at Island Dental, now I may actually look forward to it!
