| - I want to preface this review by stating that Timo's generally has a lot to offer. Their patio is GORGEOUS, their wine list is extensive so you are sure to find a new favorite, and their food is expertly crafted.
Unfortunately, last night I didn't get to enjoy any of that stuff. What I did get to experience, however, left a foul taste in my mouth and I will think twice before suggesting this as a place to come for date nights or any other special occasions.
Last night was Valentine's Day and they had a lovely Prix Fixe menu and when we were seated this was all we were given. Looking around I could see that people were eating pizzas and I wondered if I would be able to get one since it wasn't a part of the special V-Day menu. When the waitress first came up she hurriedly asked for our drink order. We didn't have a menu to order wine/beer/cocktails from, so I politely asked if I could receive one. The waitress sighed heavily and walked aways and when she came back she had a wine menu in her hand that she just sort of threw in my general direction.
OK........
At this point I also decided to ask about the menu to see if they had something other than the special....Her response?
No. Just a flat no. So I started to mention that other people were eating stuff that wasn't on the special menu. She picked up on the fact that I had a question and then said "well, yeah, we have a limited menu" and then blankly stared at us.....I asked to see that menu too and again she looked kind of agitated and turned around and grabbed the menu and put it on the table and walked away.
Alright.......
At this point we were deciding if we even wanted to stay and deliberated for a couple of minutes. We were mostly thinking that we were looking for a positive, romantic experience and we weren't feeling like this was going to be possible at this time.
During this time the waitress comes back and asks to take our drink order. I let her know we needed a little more time, and she looked right at me and turn around and walked away quickly.
This is when we decided to leave. We simply walked out without saying anything. I have never been treated so badly and I have never just left, but this was all too much.
Thanks for nothing.
