  • AVOID AT ALL COST! My family has a vacation home in Summerlin, NV. There was a problem with a door and we called Vortex to come for a repair. My first sign there might be a problem was when person I spoke with on phone stated we DO NOT PROVIDE FREE ESTIMATES. I should've stopped right there, but figured door was broken and they could repair. Repair person comes, looks at door, says he can fix. Then tells me parts in truck. I'm being charged by the minute so I'm like ok go ahead get parts. Then he says he has to call the office. Whole time I'm "on the clock" while he is on hold for about 10 minutes with his office. After 2 hours he states he needs a part and will call me on Monday with date to return and complete job. Never called back but sent a bill for over $175. I'm still in shock and considering filing a compliant with Nevada Consumer Protection Agency.
